Terms of Use

End User Licence Agreement · Last updated: 29 August 2026

These terms are a contract between you and Benjamin Amhof ("we", "us") covering your use of the hapje app. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Apple is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the app or its content.

1. Your account

You need an account to use hapje. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old. Give us an email address that reaches you.

You can delete your account at any time under Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms.

2. What you may post

hapje lets you share habit entries, notes, to-dos and photos with people you have connected with. You keep ownership of everything you post. You give us only the limited permission we need to store it and show it to the people you have chosen to share it with — nothing more. We do not use your content for anything else.

You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on hapje.

You may not post, send or share anything that is:

You also may not impersonate anyone, harass another user, or use the app to contact someone who has blocked you.

How we enforce this

Filtering. The app refuses to store slurs, sexually explicit material and content promoting self-harm at the moment you try to post it, in every field where you can write something other people will see.

Reporting. Every photo and every person in the app carries a report control (the flag icon). Reporting takes a few seconds and asks only for a reason.

Immediate effect. Reported content is hidden from you the moment you report it. You never have to keep looking at something while it is reviewed.

Review within 24 hours. We review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and accounts that post it are suspended or deleted. Serious cases are removed on the first report.

Blocking. You can block anyone, from their profile or when you report them. A block works in both directions and immediately: they disappear from your feed, your search results and your friends list, they cannot see you or anything you post, they cannot send you a notification, they are taken off any shared to-do between you, and neither of you can follow the other again. You manage and undo your blocks under Profile → Blocked People.

We can remove any content and terminate any account for a breach of this section, without notice.

4. What the app is not

hapje is a habit tracker, not a medical device or a source of health advice. Do not rely on it for medical, dietary or fitness decisions. Talk to a qualified professional.

5. Availability

We try to keep hapje running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. The app is provided "as is", without warranties, to the fullest extent the law allows.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death, personal injury, or intentional or grossly negligent conduct.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced in the app. If you keep using hapje afterwards, the updated terms apply.

8. Law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Luzern, Switzerland, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules give you the right to sue where you live.
